This Financial and Payment Policy outlines the terms governing payments, pricing, refunds, and payouts on the schoolplusu.com platform, operated by SCHOOL PLUS U LIMITED (家學優有限公司). 

Currency, Pricing, and Platform Fees

• Currency: All payments received by the platform from Parents, and all payouts made to Teachers or Referees, are processed strictly in USD.

• Platform Fees: The platform charges a standard 20% service fee on the total class fee for the use of our marketplace.

• Promotional Listing Fee: For classes that a Teacher explicitly agrees to list for platform-driven promotion, an additional 20% fee will be charged on the class fee.

• Pricing Adjustments: The platform reserves the right to adjust the minimum pricing of classes offered on the site. We may also apply uniform batch price adjustments to scheduled classes that have not yet occurred.

Parent Payments, Refunds, and Withdrawals

• Purchasing Options: Parents have the option to purchase and pay for a single trial class or purchase an entire class package. Parents agree to pay the listed class price in USD prior to the commencement of the class.

• Order Generation: When a Parent selects a class without immediate payment, an order is generated with a "pending confirmation" or "selected" status.

• Refunds to Site Credit: If a Parent is entitled to a refund (such as a valid 24-hour cancellation or teacher absence), the funds will be returned to the Parent’s schoolplusu.com account as accumulated credit within 7 days. These credits can be used for future platform purchases. Automated emails will notify both the student and the teacher upon successful cancellation and refund initiation.

• Credit Withdrawal: Parents may request to withdraw their residual site credit back to their financial institution. Withdrawals require a processing time of 14 days. A 5% transaction fee will be deducted from the total withdrawn amount to cover administrative and processor costs.

Teacher Payout Terms

• Holding of Funds: Payments collected from Parents are held securely by the platform until the educational service is rendered.

• Payout Schedule: Teachers will receive their earnings (the class fee minus the 20% platform fee and any applicable 20% promotional fee) on the second Thursday after their scheduled class is successfully completed. 

Scheduling, Cancellations, and Late Policies

• Cancellations: Parents may cancel a class up to 24 hours before the starting time to receive a full refund.

• Student Tardiness (Late Policy): * If a student is 10 minutes late, one-on-one classes will automatically end.

  -  For classes longer than 30 minutes, a 10-minute tardiness will result in a 25% fee deduction.

  -  For group classes or one-on-one classes that are 30 minutes or less, a 10-minute tardiness will result in a 100% full fee deduction.

• Teacher Tardiness (Late Policy): If a Teacher is 10 minutes late, the entire class is immediately terminated, and the full class fee will be refunded to the student(s).

Referral and Promotion Program
Teachers and Parents ("Referees") can refer new Teachers or promote specific classes by generating and forwarding promotional posters or custom links. 

• Commission Period: Commissions are paid for the first six (6) months of the new Teacher's registration, based on the referred Teacher's completed classes.

• Tiered Payout Structure: * USD 1.00 paid to the Referee for each class charged at USD 14.00 or above. 
  -   USD 0.50 paid to the Referee for each class charged between USD 10.00 (inclusive) and USD 13.99. 
  -   USD 0.20 paid to the Referee for each class charged below USD 10.00.
